“Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible”
At Roosevelt an IB Student …
Builds Healthy Social relationships with peers and adults.
- Use kind words – No profanity, verbally or physically, in any language; no put downs; no threats.
- Be respectful – Do not ignore a request made by an adult; no sexual harassment or gestures.
- Be safe - Keep your hands, feet and other body parts to your self; no horse play; no physical violence; do not take things that do not belong to you
- Be responsible for your actions - No lying; do not argue about a consequence, discuss it in a respectful way.
Is responsible for his/her school Environment.
- Return supplies they way they were given to you – No destruction of school or personal property
- No graffiti or vandalism
- Clean up after yourself – Do not leave a mess in the lunch area or in the classroom.
- No Gum – It is often left on floors or under desks.
Approaches his/her Learning in a responsible way.
- Be on time – Do not be late to class, be in your seat when the bell rings; no loitering after school hours
- Be prepared – Have your supplies: pencils, pens, planner, notebooks, homework, PE and school uniform; cell phones need to be off and away when the bell rings.
- Keep all electronics at home – Do not bring I-pods, mp3 players, CD players or other electronic devices.
- Wear your uniform – When you enter campus your uniform should be on and stay on through out the day
- Use School Technology in a safe and responsible way.
Participates in class and strives to meet the Learner Profile.
- Ask Questions, Share your ideas – We want to know what you think; share with your teachers and peers in a respectful way.
- Be open minded – Listen to what others have to say, even if you do not agree.
- Be Reflective – Take time to think about what you learned and what it means to you.
Is a respectful member of the Community and performs Service for that community.
- You represent the school – Act in a respectful way coming to and from school.
- Service hours – Each grade level is responsible for meeting service credit.
