period will result in a pass to the buddy-room.
|
What
is a reset?
This is a quick and quiet reminder that the student is off task. Resets
happen in the room, and the student is to remain in their seat. A reset
should be no more than 60 seconds. It is not a punishment, but a way to
help students get back on the IB track! When the student completes the
reset, s/he is welcomed back and given a “clean
slate.” |
| Level
2 - Buddy
Room |
| If a
student continues to engage in the above
actions, then send them to a Buddy Room for not more than 15 minutes
where they will complete a writing assignment from the Buddy Room
folder. Assignment is returned to the issuing teacher. |
| Level 3 - Team
Detention |

- Is tardy to class (unexcused)
- Is unprepared, without required learning materials
- Is involved in horseplay
- Does not behave appropriately in Buddy Room or when
he/she returns from
Buddy Room

reflection is returned to issuing teacher.

based on individual student needs and the information/facts as they are
presented, previous discipline history, and prior interventions.
Consequences may vary from incident to incident and student to student.
