Uniform Policy
In an effort to create a positive and productive learning environment, all students are required to wear the Roosevelt school uniform everyday.

Students may wear:

Tops: Roosevelt Logo Shirts Only. This does include the older logo and school-sactioned organizations (e.g. ASB, 6-to-6 clubs). PE shirts CANNOT be worn in place of a uniform shirt.
Bottoms: Solid Black Pants, Skirts, or Shorts
Outerwear: Solid Color Black, Gray, or Maroon; or Roosevelt IB Logo
Shoes: Closed toe, rubber-soled


Prohibited items:
  • Revealing Clothes, Baggy Clothes, or Clothes that may suggest gang affilation
  • Chains (jewelry) or Headwear
  • Sandals, Sleepers or any Open-Toe Shoes
  • No Hood/No logo Sweatshirts or Jackets
Procedure for Non-Compliant Students:
Student is sent to “compliance room”, and given a loaner uniform (students must exchange clothing for uniform).  Student is returned to class with a pass.  Most students will be stopped by any supervision staff member in the morning, before school starts.  If student is out of uniform during the day, staff will write an administrative referral and send students to the VP. Time out of class will be minimized as much as possible.  Students will return the loaner after school.

Level 1: First Violation
Administrative phone call home
Logged into Zangle behavior 

Level 2: Second Violation
Administrative phone call home
Logged into Zangle behavior 
Additional consequence given (e.g. lunch detention)

Level 3: Third Violation
Administrative phone call home
Logged into Zangle behavior 
Saturday School; student must wear their uniform
Refer to Counselor as needed for interventions (COST)

Level 4: Fourth Violation
Parent Conference
Logged into Zangle behavior 
Student Suspended
